We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Manager to join us on a permanent basis. In this role you will be managing the relationship and delivery of outcomes for our retailers, from beginning to end.
This is a significant growth opportunity, at a key major asset where you’ll develop a sound understanding of the Centre operations and use this to develop, drive and implement strategic plans to manage and improve the offering to our customers and the value of the centre.
About the role:
As the Retail Manager you’ll have accountability over several Strategic, Financial and People initiatives. You’ll be an integral member of the Sunshine Plaza Centre team, and one of two Retail Managers working in our centre. As the primary point of contact for our retailers you will work closely with them to develop strategies which maximise their performance and revenue. You’ll also be responsible for secondary income components for the centre such as our pop-up team and storage.
Other responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:
1. Working closely with the Retail Manager & Centre Manager, offering insights, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
2. Responsible for stakeholder management of retailer relations at the Centre – taking ownerships for driving clear, proactive, and efficient communications with a keen focus on customer experience and solution delivery.
3. Prepare, report and manage budgets for Lendlease Retail, Retailers & Owners
4. Strategic analysis of retailer sales performance, occupancy cost analysis
5. Supporting the debt & abatement process providing recommended strategies to the Centre Manager to secure a best cash position. Managing rent arrears and driving solutions.
6. Identification and management of critical tenancies – including recommendation as to exit strategy or assistance program.
7. Management of Retailer Training and Retail Consultants as required.
About You:
We want to see your experience in retail management and your ability for building strong relationships with retailers as well as all other stakeholder groups, while gaining insight into their business needs. You will have experience in managing conflict and knowledge of retail leases legislation and good financial reporting and budget management skills.
