Take pride in having a meaningful impact on regional, rural and remote communities while being a pivotal player in the energy industry’s future.About the roleWe are currently recruiting a Zone Substation Electrical Technician to join our Transmission South West team based ideally in Griffith.The Zone Substation Electrical Technician is responsible for construction and maintenance of Zone Substations, inspecting, testing, and reporting the nature and condition of network assets, and the installation, commissioning, and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction and maintenance of Zone SubstationsInstallation, commissioning, and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipmentCarrying out switching operations associated with both high and low voltage Engineering ServicesInspecting, testing, and reporting the nature and condition of network assets to maintain quality standardsAccessing and using computerised systems to operate remote equipmentOperating plant and equipment associated with Zone Substations in a safe mannerAbout YouAs a Zone Substation Electrical Technician, you will be able to demonstrate practical application of the qualifications for this role. You will be capable of undertaking the coordination/management of construction and maintenance of Zone Substations and the installation, commissioning, and testing of Zone Substation equipment.
