We have a high demand for enthusiastic and compassionate support workers and personal care workers to join our team in Bendigo and surrounding suburbs in both residential aged care settings and for in-home support. You will be responsible for providing practical and emotional support to individuals with a range of needs, including but not limited to, disabilities, mental health conditions, and elderly care.
Key Responsibilities: Support individuals with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household choresProvide emotional support and companionship to individuals, ensuring their wellbeing and safetyAssist individuals with their medication and attend medical appointments with them as requiredPromote independence and encourage individuals to achieve their goals and aspirationsMaintain accurate records and document all activities in accordance with company policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with other professionals involved in the individual's care, including family members, social workers, and healthcare professionalsAttend regular team meetings and participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledgeOther Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsNDIS Screening Check - not essential but highly desirableEmpathy, compassion, and a positive attitude towards supporting othersAbility to maintain confidentiality and respect individuals' privacyKnowledge of safeguarding procedures and willingness to follow company policies and proceduresIf you are passionate about supporting individuals and making a difference in their lives, we would love to hear from you.
