Control Room Operator This is an exciting full-time opportunity to join an organisation within the renewable energy industry and be part of facilitating the energy transition that continues to grow and mature. You will be working closely with the Quintas Engineering team who will provide training, guidance, support & mentorship.With growth in our 24/7 Control Room services, we are looking to expand our team capacity. The Control Room operates 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night, 4-on 4-off roster. We support our clients through the entire life cycle of Renewable Energy projects – Development, Construction and long-term operations (approximately 30 years). The key duties of the role include:Control Room - Operations Undertake live monitoring of the plant, components, SCADA, CCTV and GPS complianceManage alarms, perform troubleshooting, incident registration and notification to relevant partiesPerform remote operations of generating plant to reduce downtimePerform your responsibilities in line with processes and keep in constant communication and coordination with relevant parties.Control Room - Trading Bidding and dispatch services management and real time re-bids monitoringManagement of plant availability submissions based on planned and unscheduled outagesDirect communication with AEMO, NSPs and the Operational Control Room to ensure NER complianceEngineering Support Download daily SCADA and metering data and analysis under performancesCreate, review and close out Work Orders in CMMS systemsSkills / Qualifications The successful candidate will have:an Engineering DegreeGood communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent IT skills particularly across the Microsoft PackagesReport writing skills addressing performance, issues, events and wider implicationsDiligent approach to Health and Safety Desirable: HV ticketEnergy industry knowledgeOperational SCADA knowledgePrevious experience within a control room environmentAwareness of renewable energy technologiesProgramming experience (particularly Python)
