OPERATIONS MANAGER (RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION)The Shelford Group is a large construction company providing residential and commercial construction services across the Perth metropolitan area and the southwest region for over 30 years.Due to a sustained growth in our southwest division, we are offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced construction professional to join our Bunbury office as Operations Manager. Reporting to our Managing Director based at our Rockingham Office, you will be responsible for leading and managing our residential construction team across all areas of our southwest operations.Your responsibilities will include:Driving and managing long term sustainable growth for the business in the southwest.Under direction of the Residential Construction Manager, overseeing and reporting on the progress of our residential projects under construction, as well as managing the overall performance of our Site Supervisors.Leading and mentoring the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Identifying, growing and effectively managing Shelford's contractor base.Ensuring delivery of a high level of customer service.Developing and improving our operational management systems and processes.Maintaining and enforcing Shelford's health and safety policies and practices.Consulting closely with our sales, estimating, drafting and contracts managers, to direct and manage the performance of the operations team.As a successful candidate you will have:At least 5 years of residential construction and/or site management experience.Tertiary qualification in a construction management related field will be well regarded.Proven experience in operations management and customer service, preferably within the residential constructions sector.Strong leadership and team management skills.Ability to manage and grow business relationships.In return we offer you:A professional and supportive work environment with strong management and office support.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.A rewarding work environment, with a diverse team of construction professionals.If you think you have the drive and commitment to capitalise on this exciting opportunity, please click the APPLY button to submit your up-to-date resume and cover letter.Please note that all applications will be held in the strictest confidence and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
