The Opportunity - About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager to join our Retail and Community Real Estate Development team.
The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team to procure, scope and deliver Health and Education projects nationally within Stocklands Masterplanned Communities pipeline.
This role is a circa 12 month contract covering parental leave that can be based from our Brisbane or Melbourne Offices.
Key Responsibilities Ensure projects are scoped, designed, and delivered according to policies and profitability levels.
Conduct detailed design and feasibility assessments.
Support analysis of our existing pipeline to secure approvals and bring projects to market.
Foster cross-divisional collaboration to maximise profitability.
Monitor market and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness.
Drive profitability and cash flow returns from projects.
Improve customer experience and manage customer issues professionally.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve required outcomes.
Develop and review project Stakeholder Engagement Plans.
Promote sustainability and ensure stakeholder, community development, and environmental plans are actioned.
Lead cross-functional communications and develop a cohesive project team.
Manage and coach team members to build engagement and capabilities.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Support and embed project management tools and processes.
Proactively identify and mitigate business risks.
About You You are an experienced Development professional with a previous track record in development, ideally within built form environment like Retail, Healthcare or Education.
In addition you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience.
Strong commercial acumen and results-oriented.
Knowledge of built form development and market trends.
Expertise in project cost and risk management.
Financial acumen and procurement knowledge.
