The Opportunity
Join a well-respected not-for-profit organisation in Leichhardt, supporting a small legal team with a focus on litigation and professional standards matters.
You’ll assist the General Counsel and team with tasks like managing matter schedules, preparing reports, and liaising with external lawyers.
This is a great role for a paralegal with 3+ years of experience in commercial or insurance litigation who is looking for a collaborative, supportive environment and opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with factual investigations by seeking and reviewing records
* Reviewing and collating records responsive to subpoenas
* Maintain litigation schedules and prepare reports
* Liaise with external lawyers and internal teams to finalise settlements
* Assist with investigations, subpoenas, and document management
* Provide support on contract reviews and other legal administration
* Collating briefs to external lawyers.
* Assisting with requests from other offices, external agencies and the police regarding professional matters
What We’re Looking For
* 3+ years’ paralegal experience in litigation is essential (insurance litigation preferred)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
* Knowledge of e-Discovery software (Nuix or similar)
* If you're a law student you'll need to satisfy the experience above AND have at least 2-3 years left of your degree.
* This is a permanent role so you'll need to have unrestricted working rights in Australia
