About this Role Earn While You Learn & Kickstart your career in IT We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our dynamic PC Warehouse team as an IT trainee. The role includes the distribution of PC devices and PC warehouse management activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience whilst working toward a Certificate IV in Information Technology through the Youth Employment Scheme (YES). This is a two-year fixed term traineeship position. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with some flexibility. About You To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn and apply those learnings to daily tasks that support the PC Warehouse team. Position Accountabilities Working Collaboratively – contribute to team tasks to support the PC Warehouse team. Customer Focus – respond to inquiries through standard customer communication channels i.e. email, ServiceNow, MS Teams chat and telephony. Flexibility and Adaptability – apply learnings to support the team goals. Undertake all theoretical and practical training required to complete traineeship to a high standard. Interpersonal Skills - polite, professional & considerate in dealing with others; Expresses own views in a constructive & respectful way. Eligibility Criteria This role is part of the government's Youth Employment Scheme (YES). To be eligible for this role, candidates must: be aged between 18 and 29 years at the commencement of the traineeship; be unemployed or not working more than 15 hours per week; not be currently engaged in tertiary education; have not attained a university level qualification (excluding certificate 1‑4 courses); and note the requirement to complete a Certificate IV in Information Technology over the course of the traineeship. The Trainee will be enrolled with an external Registered Training Organisation to complete the qualification.
