Overview:Pama Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant/Financial Controller to lead and manage the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information to support our leadership team in making informed decisions. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the financial performance and efficiency of our business.Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping & Accounting: Oversee daily management of accounting functions, including month-end and year-end reporting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.Supplier & Subcontractor Reconciliations: Ensure accurate reconciliation of supplier and subcontractor accounts and manage payables forecasting.Tax & Compliance: Collaborate with external accountants on tax matters, ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, and monitor regulatory updates.Payroll Management: Manage payroll processes, employee records, superannuation payments, and ATO reporting for employee terminations.Risk & Compliance: Implement policies and practices to manage financial risk effectively, including compliance with relevant regulations.Team Collaboration: Support and engage team members, fostering a cohesive and productive work environment while building positive relationships with stakeholders.Experience and Skills Required: Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field, preferably in property or finance.Completion of a Bookkeeping or Accounting Certificate.Solid understanding of financial and management accounting principles.Experience with finance systems, budgeting, and government finance reporting processes (preferred).Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.Knowledge of risk and compliance management.Behavioural & Cultural Fit: Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and discretion.Encourages a collaborative team environment with mutual trust and respect.Focused on efficiency, cost-saving measures, and resourcefulness.Committed to upholding confidentiality and maintaining positive working relationships.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Timely communication of payables to the CEO.Accurate and up-to-date project reconciliations.Effective budgeting and planning.Compliance with tax obligations.Prompt data entry, invoicing, and payroll processing.Why Join Us?At Pama Group, we value integrity, teamwork, and innovation.
