Providing hydraulic, engineering and product support services to a wide range of industries, we are also an authorised dealer for Palfinger – the World’s No.1 vehicle loading crane brand.Job DescriptionThe roles would ideally suit trade qualified fitters with solid troubleshooting skills and a passion for mechanical machinery. You will be tasked with a broad range of servicing, repair and refurbishment activities and will require skills and experience across a range of mechanical and hydraulic systems and components.As an enthusiastic and highly productive team member, some of your key duties will include: Maintenance and repair work on a broad range of fixed and mobile hydraulic equipment;Carry out general machining and/or mechanical bench work;Repair/refurbish hydraulic cylinders;Reading and interpreting schematic diagrams to effectively troubleshoot problems on a wide range of industrial equipment;Use test equipment to methodically isolate and diagnose faults including: closed loop, open loop; pressure comp, load sensed, hydraulic & electronic proportional control;Installation and commissioning of hydraulic systems;Fit-up, programming and servicing of the World's No.1 crane brand;Carry out detailed service and safety inspections on mobile equipment;Thoroughly test and quality control all work;Accurately complete reports and service documentationQualificationsSkills and ExperienceDemonstrate a high level of engineering and hydraulic technical knowledge with confidence to work independently;Hands-on experience in engineering and machine shop functions;Experience with servicing and maintenance on a broad range of mobile equipment including truck mounted cranes;An understanding of hydraulic and electronic control and safety systemsMinimum Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Machinist) or similar;Post trade Fluid Power qualifications with the ability to read & apply hydraulic schematics;Experience in the fundamentals of maintenance practices & high level of fault-finding and problem- solving skills;Disciplined with attention to detail and accuracyStrong work ethic & pride in workmanshipDrivers licence & own transportAdditional InformationBenefits & PerksJoin a small professional and enthusiastic team and enjoy the following benefits:Long term, secure employment;Continuous opportunities to learn about the latest equipment and leading hydraulic products;Opportunities to work on unique machines and diverse range of engineering projects;Generous above award wages and conditions + overtime, allowances, laundered uniform & all PPE provided;Free onsite parkingCanberra/Queanbeyan has all the city benefits - 2hrs to the beach - 2 hrs to the snow - 1st class educational facilities.**SKILLED VISA APPROVED** applicants welcome
