The Venue Sitting atop ivy, the recently refreshed Uccello takes cues from the Southern Italian coastline with an elegant menu featuring light, fresh flavours.Our kitchen works closely with small-scale NSW farmers and producers, with head chef Noel Jelfs ensuring only the highest quality ingredients make it to the plate.Traditional Italian techniques – such as wood-firing – inspire the seasonal menu, with a grand wood-fire oven sitting at the heart of the kitchen.The Role This role has become available due to an internal promotion, meaning we are looking for our next talented Sous Chef to join the highly experienced team at Uccello.A passion for Italian cuisine is a must and a good knowledge around Italian cooking techniques is ideal.What you can bring to the role: 3+ years in a similar position, with a background in premium restaurants.Great execution and attention to detail.Can drive and train a team of 15+ chefs alongside the head chef.Knowledge of WH&S, allergens and kitchen compliance.A love of Italian cuisine with a good understanding of traditional techniques.Experience working across the kitchen, including using a wood-fired oven.Has been part of a management team and had experience with kitchen financials.You will be joining a team that is dedicated and passionate, with focus on producing food that is honest, creative and seasonal.The Reward You will be joining a company that wants you to succeed, we offer:??
