About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team at Calvary Healthcare Launceston St Vincent's and St Luke's campuses. This is a permanent full or part-time position (flexible weekday work hours negotiable with the successful applicant) working across a variety of inpatient areas including General Medical, General Surgical, Orthopaedic, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care wards.
Your main duties will include:
Working as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation and review of occupational therapy interventions and programs, and assist with complex case management and discharge planning.
Conduct functional, cognitive, personal care, home assessments and occupational therapy programs for patients across a variety of inpatient areas within Calvary Launceston.
Participate in, and conduct regular and ongoing education and training to staff, patients and families relevant to Occupational Therapy.
About you
Relevant tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy
Current AHPRA registration
Current full driver's license
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy
Experience working in a hospital setting desirable.
Experience conducting home assessments desirable.
