Our client is looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice located on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW. Role: As the Lead Vet (along with the support of the practice manager), you will lead a team of passionate vets and vet nurses delivering personalized, professional, and dedicated care to our client's patients and their owners. You will also be responsible for the management and supervision of the financial and clinical function of the business. Requirements: Bachelor of Veterinary Science + current Veterinary Board Registration or eligibility for veterinary board registration in Australia Proven veterinary experience within a senior role will be highly regarded Excellent verbal and written communication skills Calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor Attention to detail and excellent time management skills Leadership skills and team orientation The Practice: Located on the beautiful Central Coast of NSW – plenty of beaches and bush walks to enjoy. Only a short drive from Sydney and also close to Newcastle, the Veterinary Clinic has been caring for pets, wildlife, and (occasionally) livestock on the NSW Central Coast since 1999. The team is committed to providing a friendly, caring, and professional veterinary service. The majority of the patient load consists of companion animals – dogs and cats. They also treat a variety of exotic pets (including birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, mice, and rabbits). The client base is varied, but includes a significant breeder clientele, plus they have expertise in feline medicine and ferrets. Services include general consultation and examinations, vaccinations, tumor and cancer treatment, soft tissue, ophthalmic and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, anesthesia, and microchipping. They have an extensive range of modern medical equipment such as an x-ray machine & digital processor, dental unit, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring, and a full surgery.
