Job DescriptionThe Role We have an exciting opportunity to join our Department as a Credit Recoveries Officer! This is a specialised role within Credit Control and a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking to develop and grow their career within the Credit landscape.
In this position you will report to (and work closely with) the Manager, Asset Management - supporting the Credit Control Department with ensuring appropriate action is undertaken to maximise recoveries and returns to Beyond Bank for non-performing and impaired loan assets.
The Recoveries Officer must be fully aligned to Beyond Bank's Strategic Plan and will assist with complex credit recovery matters, including hardship applications, restructured loans, bad (doubtful) debts and legal enforcement actions for repossession of real property security (foreclosure).
The Recoveries officer operates at a level of authority responsible for sound business decisions, requiring an outward looking approach towards recoveries and credit portfolio administration.
This includes a strong focus on operational risk procedures, data integrity, monitoring of control measures and providing day to day technical credit-related support.
The Recoveries officer is also required to seek continuous improvement and review opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency and other service delivery options, including participation and support of business initiatives and projects.
In the role you will: Monitor and implement action on accounts to maximise recoveries from debts written off.Manage the use of mercantile agents to assist with recoveries.Assist with the acquiring and realisation of real property security.Provide assistance on legal matters with regard to enforcement action through liaison with legal partners and mercantile agents.Facilitate the administration of the Asset Management portfolio and the reporting of related risk matters in a timely and accurate manner.Work closely with Manager Asset Management, internal stakeholders within CX, Member Credit and Group Risk to support with analysis of the existing loan portfolio/customer base to identify early warning signs/trends/higher risk borrowers to minimise inflows of new non-performing loans, write offs and recovery items.Support management with implementing measures to continuously improve the Beyond Bank's credit risk profile and minimise the risk of loss.Prepare and distribute credit reporting for the business, including credit risk committee, executive and Board.QualificationsYou are a good match if you have: Customer Service focus.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Analytical and strategic mindset.Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to professionally and confidentially present themselves to internal and external business partners.Additional InformationSee yourself in our team You will join the Credit Control and Recoveries team, a high performing group of credit professionals dedicated to supporting Beyond Bank and its members with minimising loan arrears and delinquencies, exploring potential forms of financial assistance and striving to tailor strategies that seek to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for Beyond Bank and its members.
