You use your exceptional relationship building and negotiation skills to successfully close complex, multi-domain sales that directly shape Telstra's growth and maintain market leader position. As a Senior Business Development Specialist, you apply your excellent relationship management skills, ability to identify growth opportunities and intimate understanding of the client's business to deliver against the following responsibilities: Actively identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities with new and existing customers, leveraging your strong interpersonal skills to liaise with the acquisition, account management and sales teams to define and execute commercial growth strategies for your portfolio. Make a strong contribution to revenue growth within your portfolio through your ability to actively develop a strong sales pipeline, identify new sales opportunities through competitive research and partnership deals, and negotiate complex commercial constructs with clients (including drafting contracts) to close sales. Lead the establishment, maintenance, and execution of portfolio pursuit plans, ensuring they align to Telstra's broader business plan, and integrate products, solutions, and service offerings in order to deliver against sales and profitability metrics in the long-term. Authentically engage with and effectively influence a diverse, multi-stakeholder client network (including executives e.g. CIO, CTO) and internal landscape (i.e. solution sales, opportunity owners, Account Executives) to build an in-depth understanding of customer needs in order to identify solution requirements, anticipate future needs and foster relationship building. Leverage your extensive knowledge of new and emerging enterprise technology solutions - including cloud and security propositions - alongside intimate knowledge of the customer's business, industry, and their current portfolio to broaden the scope of opportunities and deliver sales revenue growth. Take an innovative and creative approach to addressing current and future customer needs through combining several existing Telstra products/services and partner products/services in developing sales solutions and supporting new collaborative business models with customers. Gather relevant sources of information and insights to build an in-depth understanding of new business opportunities, including actively following local and international industry trends to pre-empt opportunities as well as potential risks, issues, and challenges to drive business growth for Telstra. Contribute to or lead components of knowledge sharing initiatives (market insights, customer focused cross-functional collaboration) that have a significant degree of impact to portfolio revenue growth and team member development. Operate as a true team player, sharing best practice and engaging in a cross-organisational manner to bring the One Telstra experience to our customers and partners.
