Student focused Mindwaves 2.0 initiatives are designed to progress from systems-level and community-level practices through to targeted supports and individual intervention to support student belonging, engagement, and success.
In this strategic and dynamic role you will oversee the coordinated implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Mindwaves 2.0, with a focus on initiatives that prioritise student mental health and wellbeing and promote student retention, positive graduate outcomes, and a first-class student experience for CQUniversity’s diverse student body.
Reporting to the Chief Wellbeing Officer, you will work collaboratively with Counselling, Wellbeing and Safer Communities leadership, other key stakeholders across the University and students, to design, develop and evaluate mental health and wellbeing programs, activities, guidelines and frameworks ensuring Mindwaves 2.0 outcomes are realised, and to help shape the University’s direction in alignment with the Universities Accord and Student Support Policy.

Position Requirements
12. Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and expertise in policy development and program implementation.
13. Detailed understanding of health promotion, early intervention and holistic mental health and wellbeing campaigns and frameworks, and how to apply in a large organisational setting.
14. Knowledge of evidence-based practices in designing, implementing, and evaluating mental health and wellbeing initiatives and programs for diverse student cohorts.
15. Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues relating to students experience at University with the ability to quickly learn CQUniversity policies and procedures.
16. Proven expertise in identifying, researching, and analysing complex and emerging strategic issues, with the ability to develop informed strategies.
17. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate professionally.
