Chef required for a well-established Australian business (Club) “GRIFFITH LEAGUES CLUB LIMITED” located at 2 BRIDGE ROAD, GRIFFITH NSW 2680. Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as a chef. Duties include.
* Monitor the kitchen staff during pre-cooking preparations.
* Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of food preparation, food presentation.
* Prepare specialized food items from the café menu
* Preparing food items keeping in mind the nutrition value of the items included.
* Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as per café’s food recipes or personal judgment.
* Planning menus & recipes.
* Estimating food and Labor costs and ordering food supplies.
* Plan staff rosters.
* Discussing food preparation issues with Manager and other kitchen staff.
* Time to time, train junior staff.
* Managing the organization of all stock and stock control for the venue
* Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
* Upholding food safety and hygiene standards
* Obey Occupational Health and Safety and Food Hygiene procedures.

Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in Asian/commercial cookery OR Diploma of Hospitality) and 2 years of practical experience working as a CHEF will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, public holidays & late shifts).
