Our mission is to constantly challenge the view of what is possible to force sustainable change.The Role The primary function of this role is to support the Senior GIS Specialist in gathering, analysing, and reporting geospatial data to inform decision-making processes for land use, environmental planning, and regulatory compliance in renewable energy projects. This involves working with Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and databases to identify suitable land areas for development.Acquire, create, analyse, and manage GIS datasets and maps to support the acquisition, due diligence, development and construction of renewable energy projects.Manage and maintain project geodatabases and datasets, managing data integrity, and ensuring data is up-to-date, authoritative and accurate.Perform geospatial analyses to support the design, planning, and operation of renewable energy projects.Proficient in Esri's Desktop (including desktop extensions) and Web products.Familiarity with Esri ModelBuilder, Data Interoperability, Arcade, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, or VBA to automate tasks and streamline processes Develop and maintain GIS-based site and field-based tools in support of development, audit, compliance, construction and operational requirements including asset management. About you Qualification in either GIS, geography, computer science, or a related field, preferably with 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.Exposure to either renewable energy and/or major infrastructure projects is desirable, but not essential.Have a client centric approach.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including delegation, consultation and facilitating teamwork across time-zones and within a diverse field.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Ability to complete tasks within designated timeframe and prioritise accordingly.Curious, motivated and an outgoing individual, who uses passion as the daily fuel to make a difference.
