It also includes assisting with contractor management and maintaining the H&S file for larger projects.Project Engineer Job ResponsibilitiesDefine project scope, objectives, and specifications for tender submissions.Manage the tendering process, including contract negotiations and terms & conditions.Oversee project budgets, timelines, and capital submissions, working with cross-functional teams.Identify and address project risks, including scheduling conflicts.Review and approve designs to ensure compliance with safety and food industry regulations.Assess and approve RAMS before work begins on-site.Supervise on-site activities, issue work permits and manage high-risk tasks in line with legal and company policies.Maintain CDM health & safety documentation and conduct contractor inductions.Perform health & safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance.Ensure successful project completion through effective stakeholder management and communication.Project Engineer Required AttributesEngineering qualification (Degree or equivalent - HND, HVC etc).Relevant safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, FAAW, IOSH).Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly understand business processes and technical needs.Proficient in MS Office and standard engineering tools.Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
