Project / Site Engineer – GAS - Greystanes
Zinfra partners with companies across the utility and infrastructure sectors to deliver maintenance, operations, engineering, and construction services. For our partners our work is crucial to maintaining the safety and reliability of their electricity and gas transmission and distribution assets.
About the role:
We have a full-time, permanent role available for a Project / Site Engineer to work on Zinfra’s Gas Transmission Projects across NSW, Vic and Qld. As part of the annual Capital and Operating Works Plan, our projects can range anywhere from $100K to $10M, run across multiple years and be multidisciplined e.g. Mechanical, Civil, and/or Electrical and Instrumentation.
The primary focus of this role is to provide engineering / project management expertise and support to Project Managers and other stakeholders as required, throughout the lifecycle of the project. You must be able to actively prioritise your work, as you could be working on multiple different projects with different stakeholder groups at any one time.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Develop and maintain engineering/project plans and schedules ensuring timely completion and within project budgets constraints.
* Monitoring changes to scope, assessing effects on cost by measuring, valuing and negotiating variations.
* Provide a safe and secure workplace for all employees by working with stakeholders to achieve the safety policies of Zinfra and the policies of our clients.
* Perform safety activities such as toolbox talk, inspection and audits.
* Provide technical support to the project team ensuring compliance with technical specifications, legislation, approvals and standards.
* Define and document.
* Construction methodologies,
* Materials and quality standards; and
* Drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans and procedures.
* Organising and directing site labour and delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for coordination of site activities.
* Develop efficient communication between various project groups, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure all personnel on project sites are working safely and to STOP work for any unsafe acts or conditions.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Relevant Engineering degree
* Some experience working on Gas assets or projects.
* Understanding of a projects lifecycle, in line with PMBOK
* Experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer, to oversee multiple crews, subcontractors and deliver successful projects.
* Excellent people and communication skills, as well a keen eye for attention to detail.
* Ability to monitor on site safety, quality and project budget.
* Demonstrated experience in creating safety documentation (e.g. SWMS and HSEMP)
* Experience creating daily quality checks (e.g. ITP’s and ITC’s)
* Experience in managing internal and external resources.

* Current Drivers Licence
