This position actively participates as a member of the broader People and Capability function, which includes Payroll, HR Business Partnerships, Workforce Optimisation, Talent, and Organisational Development and Capability.Job DescriptionAbout the roleThe Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for assisting with the full payroll function for approximately 3,500 employees across JAG Australia. You will conduct end-to-end payroll processing and be responsible for ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in payroll operations.In this role, you will also:Manage payroll queries and provide expert guidance to employees and managers.Process terminations, bonuses, and payroll adjustments.Calculate various types of leave, including maternity leave, long service leave, and WorkCover.Reconcile payroll data and ensure accurate reporting.Perform superannuation reconciliation and lodgements.Collaborate with the broader People & Capability team, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.Support system improvements and process enhancements.Stay up to date on all payroll legislative changes and their impact on employees, including PAYG, state tax, and other relevant legislation.Handle year-end processing and Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions.What we can offer youHybrid working - mix it up with time at our Camberwell support office and WFH.Lucrative Employee Referral Program - earn up to $1,000 for an employee referral via Care Friends.Discounted Health Insurance, Fitness and Wellbeing - discounted gym membership at over 400 Gyms/Studios, up to 50% off fitness & wellbeing benefits through Wherefit.Exclusive discounts for your family to attend our services - 50% Childcare discount.Regular personal and professional development opportunities.Fun! We like to be 100% human rather than corporate.QualificationsAbout you3+ years of experience in a similar role within a high-volume payroll environment.Strong working knowledge of Humanforce (essential) and familiarity with Micropay is advantageous.Up-to-date understanding and ability to interpret and apply Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements.Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.Focus on continuous improvement.Additional InformationAt Junior Adventures Group, child safety and child safeguarding principles are our top priorities.
