Our James Watson Centre is a 40-bed residential aged care facility, supporting men who have experienced chronic homelessness. The uniqueness of our service is that our residents range in age from 50’s to 90’s, each with varying needs. We give our residents the best days of their lives, making this role both super impactful and rewarding.
As our administration guru, you play a pivotal role in the success of our aged care facility, acting as the backbone of our operations. Your exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail ensure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing our team to focus on providing high quality care to the people we support. You are the go-to person for managing the teams’ schedules and rosters, ensuring everyone is on the same page. This includes coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and taking accurate meeting minutes. Your ability to anticipate needs and multi-task will be key to your success.
A day on the job will see you:
* Having your Manager’s back. You are the right hand to the Aged Care Services Manager and you help her run a fun and efficient ship.
* Preparing detailed reports, organising meetings and accurately documenting meeting minutes.
* Maintaining precise administrative records, filing systems and operational databases.
* Developing and managing staff rosters, ensuring 24/7 coverage for our residents, as well as accurate records for payroll.
* Coordinating relief staffing to ensure coverage when members of the team are in training or on leave.
The types of attributes we are looking for include:
* Whilst administration experience will get our attention, we are open to applicants who are looking for an entry level role and willing to learn.
* Demonstrated top notch communication skills – yes, we will be scrawling through your resume for spelling errors.
* While rostering experience would be awesome, we are happy to train the right person – but show us some signs that you have incredible time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills and the ability to pick up systems quickly.
What’s in it for you?
* Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging giving you the potential to gain $15,900 in tax benefits.
* Leave: 23 days annual leave (full-time equivalent), that’s 3 days more than the standard 4 weeks.
* Perks: Trendy workwear, lots of social activities, expand your experience by joining a consultation committee, interact with the people we exist to support.
* Hours: 30.8 hours per week, Monday to Friday (days and times are somewhat flexible).
* Career development: Training, accessible leaders, growth and advancement opportunities.
* Culture: Exceptional workplace culture – we work hard and have fun while we do it.
