We are currently seeking an experienced Senior CAD Support Officer to join Sedgman in our Perth office. In this role you will collaborate with design teams and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and design software solutions to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity. Responsibilities may include creating and maintaining engineering software tools, conduct testing and debugging, providing technical support, and staying updated with industry trends and advancements
The role will require although not be limited to:
* With respect to CAD specific technical issues, problems & answer questions raised by engineering staff through the Service Desk in their day-to-day activities:
o Ensure all Support calls are assigned the appropriate specialist.
o Respond and solve calls in a timely manner.
o Ensure all incident and problem details and history are accurately logged to facilitate quick resolution, trend analysis and KPI reporting.
* Manage, test, and provide feedback around updates and new rollouts to engineering applications.
* Work closely software providers and the Service Desk Team to ensure all CAD Workstations are standardised and fit for purpose.
* Identify potential improvements in the CAD system.
* Support the CAD Auditing process as required.
* Communicate and Implement changes to the CAD system to ensure seamless integration and minimum disruption to users.
* Knowledge transfer to IT Service Desk staff globally.
What are we looking for?
* Tertiary level qualifications in Engineering, ITC or related field.
* Relevant senior technical qualifications in application analysis, design and / or
* Development highly desirable.
* 7 - 10yrs experience working in an Engineering environment supporting, customising, and developing the Autodesk Suite of applications
* A sound technical background with high level of ITC skills, technical writing skills, computer aided drafting and programming.
* Change and Release management experience highly desirable.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
