Sales Director | Ground Engineering Solutions | Civil & Infrastructure Projects | Target Tier 1 Contractors Your new company Shotcrete is a leading provider of ground engineering solutions, including Ground Anchoring, Slope Stabilisation and Shotcrete services for the Civil Infrastructure Construction market. They are a privately-owned business with a top-quality reputation for safety, integrity and quality assurance that found their core values as a business. They are experiencing strong and sustained growth and are now looking to future-proof the continued growth of the company by investing in a Sales Director, to help the team win more tenders and develop strong sales pipelines and revenue results. Your new role The role of the Sales Director will be to lead the new business development and tender-led sales activities of the business. With a focus on Civil Infrastructure Construction projects, the company has a great track record of winning work with Tier 1 Contractors leading construction projects of roads, tunnels and railways, such as Sydney Metro Stations, Parramatta Light Railway, M7 & M12, the Warringah Freeway and Coffs Harbour Upgrades. The goal is to build on their previous track record by engaging with each of the Tier 1 Contractors and tendering for projects they are awarded, developing a strong sales pipeline and winning the subcontracts to service the application of ground engineering solutions across anchoring, slope stabilisation and shotcrete work on those projects. Business is won by engaging at both head office level, negotiating the commercials through tender-led processes, as well as at site level engaging with the Senior Project Engineers and influencing them to back Shotcretes proposals. Whilst their project portfolio has mostly been Sydney-centric at present, there is an appetite to develop a broader geographical reach for the business and win work outside the Sydney-Metro region. Along with the growth of revenue, the remit is to then also build and lead a high-performing sales team, hiring, onboarding, and seeing team members succeed, providing mentorship, coaching and motivation. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the role, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Sales Executive: Whether you are accustomed to being an individual contributor in a strategic sales role in the Civil Infrastructure sector, used to winning multi-million-dollar deals with aspirations of hiring and developing a new sales team. Or an accomplished sales leader, but with excellent top-to-top relationships with the Tier 1 Contractors and willing to transition in the short term from management back into a strategic sales role, then build out a new sales team. You will need to have a proven track record selling in the Civil Infrastructure industry, with an understanding of the complexities of ground engineering projects - but we are open on what product ranges you are accustomed to selling, provided they are bespoke and solutions-based offerings, with a preference for an excellent sales leader over being a Civil Engineer by trade. Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts, analysing data to identify trends and develop diverse strategies to target success. The cultural fit is absolutely paramount. We are looking for someone who puts the team ahead of their ego, brings energy to a room, that whilst working hard will also bring some fun and laughter, work well with the supporting team of Tendering and Operations staff, have a fine attention to detail, and be willing to learn and grow with the company in the long term. What you'll get in return Shotcrete are willing to offer a lucrative package for the role, with a base salary of $250k - $300k Super Company Car Fuel & Tolls and a Bonus scheme as a direct percentage of revenue.
