We are seeking a confident candidate with demonstrated experience in numerous finance streams to take charge of our reporting, budgeting, and related processes. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across our company while having variety and keep challenged. We can offer an immediate start to the successful candidate! Key Responsibilities: Lead our Finance Team: Provide accountability, encourage innovation, and implement best practices. Financial Management: Lead and manage month-end close and prepare accurate financial statements. Compliance: Ensure all financial activities meet statutory reporting requirements. Budgeting & Forecasting: Facilitate budget preparation and forecasts. Asset Management: Maintain and update equipment leases and assets, including interest and depreciation journals. Business Partnering: Collaborate with operational divisions to identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities, and drive actions across our teams. Why Join Whelans Group? What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience: Proven extensive expertise in managing the complete process of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Skills: Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint Vista preferred), and excellent analytical abilities. Leadership: Ability to manage staff and implement efficient processes. Communication: Strong internal and external communication skills. Flexibility: Dynamic and adaptable nature.
