The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.We are currently searching for a Preservation Supervisor / Engineer to join the Project Ceres team to supervise and execute daily preservation activities on site in Karratha. This role will oversee the activities of the SCJV Team, Subcontractor and client supplied site team, and will involve hands-on application of preservation tasks including but not limited to, periodical equipment maintenance testing, applying VpCI, VCI or known rust preventives or corrosion inhibitor products, or/and applying methods of preservation.This is a FIFO position based in Karratha on a 20/8 roster, flying from Perth or other capital cities. These are just a few words that describe you.Your focus will include:Maintenance of the data within the project Preservation software, ensuring it is updated, and uploading vendor-supplied preservation cards.Providing day to day supervision across all equipment, system or sub-systemised equipment or infrastructure.Liaising with Engineering/Construction/Completion/Subcontractors to determine possible access and optimal preservation regimes and methods for construction plant and equipment across all phases of the project.Supporting, recommending and providing preservation materials required and training/instructing end-users on how to use the respective materials.Reporting on preservation status, progress, outstanding work etc, as required by management.Attending inspections of major equipment on receipt at the fabrication yard, construction site and on installation during the commissioning phase, to ensure correct preservation is applied and preservation regime for on-going project requirement is fully understood.Liaising with construction and commissioning teams to ensure critical preservation is not compromised by commissioning testing / procedure.Recommending and supporting development of work method statement for each preservation tasks.What you will bring to the team:10+ years of industry experience in construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance environments.5+ years' experience on oil and gas projects.Extensive experience working with complex equipment such as turbines, compressors, gearboxes, electric induction motors and other critical equipment.Previous experience in preventive maintenance activities during receiving, construction and mechanical completions phases.Ability to execute, monitor, supervise and direct subcontractors' preservation activities including scheduling, execution and day-to-day records management.Good computer literacy and ability to utilises CMS or similar Completions related software.Our benefitsWe have created an environment that brings out the best in our people.
