Senior Specialist Mental Health Worker – Child and Youth
Senior Specialist Mental Health Workers play a vital role in providing specialist mental health services to children and young people. They contribute to the development of contemporary models of care, providing opportunities for experienced Mental Health practitioners.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished MH Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist with registration to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Demonstrated recent clinical experience in mental health assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation methods appropriate for children and young people is essential.
Career opportunities are available for AHPRA accredited MH Nurses, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, or Social Workers who wish to provide specialist mental health services to children and young people. These positions involve managing a caseload of children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, and maintaining a strong focus on working with families and therapeutic intervention.
