The ASH Allergy Brave Program is Australia's only manualised CBT program designed to help children (6-17 years) manage anxiety, worry, and fear related to their severe food allergy diagnosis.
Allergy Support Hub is a not-for-profit organisation, and with the generous support of Telethon, we proudly offer this program free of charge to families across WA.
We're looking for a Provisional or Early Career Psychologist to join our experienced team of psychologists who are experts in allergy-related anxiety.
About the Role:Start by managing intake sessions and parent consultations.Move into counselling sessions as you gain experience and training in our structured program.Work alongside leading psychologists in the field of allergy anxiety.Work in collaboration with a range of allergy health professionals including immunologists, dietitians, and nurses.Support children and families on their allergy journeys.Be part of a small, dedicated team based in West Perth.About You:Relevant qualification in psychology (AHPRA registration required).Passionate about supporting children and families with allergic conditions.Eager to learn from experienced clinicians in a unique and specialised field.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Experience in anxiety, CBT and graded exposure helpful but not essential.A background or understanding of allergic conditions is also helpful.What we offer:One of a kind opportunity - this is Australia's only program of its kind!Work alongside experts in the field of allergy anxiety.A small friendly team.Flexibility.Training & development in a specialised area of psychology.Supportive, collaborative and fun team environment.An opportunity to make a difference in a grass roots charity.Join us in making a difference for children living with food allergies!
