We are working exclusively on this Business Development Manager (BDM) role to support the strategic entry and growth in Australia.
Role Summary As a Business Development Specialist (BDM), you will be instrumental in expanding our client base and reconnecting with past suppliers to offer our comprehensive fabric and garment manufacturing services from China. This early career position is perfect for someone eager to grow in sales and client relations within the textile industry. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new client relationships through various channels. Re-engage with past suppliers and present our fabric and manufacturing services. Engage with buyers from retailers for bulk purchase orders and private label order opportunities. Utilise an existing solid network among Australian retail chains and a keen understanding of the roles of procurement, product developers, and designers to obtain deals. Implement strategies to introduce our products to potential clients and new markets. Analyse trends and market opportunities to support business development strategies. Maintain and update client interaction records and sales reports. Requirements A degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Proven Australian market track record in sales, business development, or a related role with proven ability to build and manage a client book, preferably from scratch. While this role is fully remote, only local Australian experience and candidates will be considered due to the requirement of domain knowledge in the Australian textile industry. Must have experience in dealing with Buyers directly. Strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in BD. Sound understanding of the textile industry in Australia is a must. Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with the ability to travel to meet clients. Benefits Competitive compensation with performance-based on-target-earnings (OTE) bonus.
