About the Role: The Chief Financial Officer Division is led by the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) who reports to the Chief Executive officer of Canberra Health Services. The Division is responsible for the development and maintenance of budgets, financial management, and for providing strong operational finance and performance reporting analysis across the health service. The Procurement and Supply (P&S) Branch is part of the CFO Division and manages the organisation's procurement requirements including goods and services acquisition, inventory management, invoice processing and delivery to hospital wards and other end users. P&S comprises four teams, Procurement Clinical Equipment, Procurement Inventory and Services, Supply Chain, and Supply Operations. P&S is accredited with Level 4 – Advanced (Lead Buyer) under the ACT Government Procurement Framework, capable of delivering all aspects of high value and high-risk procurement projects. The position has responsibility for the development of strategic plans, delivery of change management practices, and steps to support the team. In addition, this position is accountable for the delivery of procurement support services for CHS including governance, compliance, policy, FOH customer service, inventory catalogue and contract management, and goods and services purchasing. As part of the Procurement & Supply Branch Management team, the role will ensure that: Comprehensive processes and tools are available for effective and efficient operations across Procurement and Supply. Change management and special projects are managed in a collaborative and compliant way. Project management methodologies and practices are employed for all items on the strategic action plan. Supply chain activities are consistently managed across the organisation. Compliance with all relevant legislation is achieved. Best practice procurement processes are implemented and value for money is achieved for CHS. Please note selection may be based on application only.
