At voco Gosford, modern elegance meets warm hospitality in the heart of the Central Coast. Discover our 130 room hotel, featuring six vibrant and exciting hospitality venues; including a spacious 2000m2 modern Australian pub, a chic rooftop bar, a signature restaurant, a swim up pool bar, and two levels of rooftop conference and event space overlooking the stunning Brisbane Waters. At voco Gosford, we’ll cater to both business and leisure guests, as well as provide a swanky new destination for locals to meet.
Our Director of Food & Beverage will lead and direct all six food and beverage operations within the hotel, ensuring quality service and standards are maintained to deliver a memorable guest experience. With each outlet being uniquely different, we can ensure that no day will be the same! This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team during the pre-opening phase of a new hotel, that will look to be the changing face of the Central Coast. Our Director of Food & Beverage will play a pivotal role in managing the pre-opening functions of each Food & Beverage outlet, ensuring every detail is carefully executed to guarantee a seamless opening of each outlet and provide an outstanding guest experience from day one.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
1. Direct everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers.
2. Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
3. Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect.
4. Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive - linking up departments to create a sense of one team.
5. Manage hotel food and beverage marketing programmes and participate in and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing programmes and promotions.
6. Keep an eye on competitor activity / industry innovation. Review and approve menu design and concepts with the Executive Chef.
7. Handle food and beverage inventory procedures. Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment.
8. Make sure all food and beverage facilities including banquet/convention spaces are clean and properly stocked to anticipated business volume. Notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
9. Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Help guests with their requests and complaints - making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
10. Make sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely - always keep stock replenished to minimise waste.
11. Help prepare the hotel’s annual budget and the setting of departmental goals.
12. Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labour costs.
13. Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at a good value.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional with the perfect blend of strong leadership, operational expertise, and financial/business acumen. In addition, you will possess:
* Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification or advanced training in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles.
* Experience in Food & Beverage and/or Hotel Operations.
* Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card, as required by local law.
* Must speak fluent English.
