About the role:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading and providing interactive service to all guests. In collaboration with the F&B Operations Manager and Executive Chef, this role sets the tone for exceptional dining experiences.
To be a successful candidate you must be available to work over a 7 day roster rotating roster, particularly nights and weekends, and is responsible for:
* Managing and supervising the restaurant team and service
* Ensuring superior restaurant service is provided to all guests
* Overseeing the operational efficiency of the shift, including effective supervision and training
* Maximising revenue opportunities and maintaining cost controls across Josephs restaurant
* Curating seasonal beverage lists
* Training and development of the team
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in a similar role working in restaurants
* Availability to work nights to manage dinner service
* A strong guest focus with excellent communication and customer service skills
* Energetic and driven, able to motivate and lead a team to achieve desired outcomes
* Flexible and reliable
* Hands on! Lead by example and have your finger on the pulse.
* Able to see the 'bigger picture' whilst attending to day to day needs of the department/hotel.
* Have a strong sense of urgency to get things done quickly and works well under pressure
* A strong understanding of financials and how to get results through working smarter rather than harder
