RESPONSIBILITIES: ENGINEERING DELIVERY: Execution of the development of engineering and designs in the different stages: pre-design, basic, executive and tender project, supervise technical feasibility while assuring EDPR technical standards and project specific conditions.Challenge Technical Standards applicability and verify and justify deviations from them, to assure the technical solvency and the technical-economic efficiency of the projects.Implement & maintain creative and innovative engineering processes.Support strong communication between local E&C teams and Global Centres of Excellence to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change, improvements and best practices.Support the elaboration of the specifications for basic and executive projects; supervise the technical adequacy of them, ensuring the compliance with EDPR standard and other specific project restraining in close coordination with the Global Centres of Excellence.Provide specialised technical support in the tender processes and assist E&C teams and, if only indirectly, Purchasing Department in the adjudication negotiation to guarantee the best technical-economic conditions in the awarding.CapEx estimation for construction, maintaining databases and engaging contractors/suppliers.Developing & maintaining project schedules. STUDIES COORDINATION: Coordinate and validate with other Technical Support Units the execution of specific key studies (collector system, roads design, foundation design, noises, or others) for its integration in the engineering project, to minimize the risk associated to the construction process. PROVIDERS AND SUPPLIER COORDINATION: Contribute to relationships with technical personnel at the main suppliers and providers for the whole value chain in order to include the most efficient technical and economical options to the engineering designs for each site. COMMON STANDARDS: Assure the application of the common standards in the studies and projects, supervising its adaptation to applicable local regulation, to avoid non-justified deviations and maximize the investment efficiency with all the technical warranty needed.Detects the inconsistencies of EDPR standards to adapt them to company reality. TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Technical support to various internal teams during the project life cycle, attending different technic-economical and/or construction needs. STRATEGIC SUPPORT: Contribute to definition and improvement of construction vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to seek for construction excellence and boost performance to deliver projects meeting requirements. COMPANY POLICY AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE: Understand and apply policies to prevent occupational hazards, environment and quality to ensure implementation and compliance on tasks under their responsibility. EDPR INTERESTS REPRESENTATIONS: Represent EDPR to agencies and institutions, public and private, in matters relating to its jurisdiction to enforce the interests of EDPR. REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related field) is required.REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years' experience in planning, engineering and design of projects for PV Plants, BESS plants, substations and high voltages lines.Experience in permitting process of the above works is desirable.Experience in Wind Farm projects is desirable.Experience in coordination and delivery of engineering projects.Experience in coordination of external engineering companies.Renewable Energy and/or Power utility experience is preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of PV & BESS plant planning, design & Engineering.Knowledge of power transmission systems, medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment, underground distribution systems.Excellent English written and verbal communication, including strong report writing skills.Knowledge of Power System software is an advantage.Substation Commissioning and tests experience is an advantage.User level of office software.Value alignment: proactiveness and problem solving skills, collaboration, innovation and with a spirit of excellence.
