Position: Health & Safety Coordinator/OfficerPackage: $90,000 + Super + Petrol Reimbursement for Travel to/from SiteLocation: ChinchillaType: Full-Time, Site-Based PositionAbout Us:Our client is a leading specialist in the engineering, installation, and maintenance of power plants.They are known for delivering high-quality, efficient, and safe solutions to their clients.Their latest project involves the construction of a state-of-the-art gas-fired power station, and they are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Coordinator/Officer to join their team.Role Overview:As a Health & Safety Coordinator/Officer, you will provide critical support to the project team under the direction of the Construction Site Supervisor.Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with project initiation, focusing on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) aspects and Quality Assurance (QA) throughout the construction phase to the final close-out of the project.Key Responsibilities: Support the Construction Site Supervisor in implementing and monitoring HSE and QA procedures.Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.Perform on-site duties including Safe Act Observations, Verification of Competency, and ensuring correct paperwork is in place for the work being carried out.Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific HSE plans.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety incidents, inspections, and training.Coordinate and deliver HSE training sessions for site personnel.Participate in incident investigations and develop corrective action plans.Assist with the preparation of HSE reports and documentation required for project initiation and close-out.Ensure risk assessments are available for all plant and equipment on site.Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the project site.Ensure contractors working on site have SWMS/JSA's in place for the works they are doing and critically ensure the SWMS/JSA has the necessary steps involved for the works being carried out.Requirements: Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety/IV OH&S.First Aid Certification.Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or power generation industry, would be highly desirable.Valid driver's license.Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure.Strong organizational and administrative skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.If you are ready for a new challenge, please apply or contact Natalie at ********Must have full working rights with local experience.** At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.We actively encourage applications from any background. #J-18808-Ljbffr
