Learn more at THE OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity to join our Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) team in the role of Health Economics & Outcomes Research Project Manager. Working alongside Janssen Australia's HEOR team and reporting to the Outcomes Research Manager, the Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams in the conception, design, execution, and dissemination of strategic data generation projects that advance both our in-market and pipeline products. This role is also uniquely positioned to lead cross-functional development of health economic and pricing strategies for payer reimbursement submissions and national tenders to achieve and maintain reimbursed market access of J&J products in New Zealand. Responsibilities: Outcomes Research Responsibilities: Value Substantiation: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design local clinical trials and RWE studies, focusing on analysing product effectiveness using secondary databases. You will contribute to prospective studies collecting health outcomes and communicating findings to support our product value proposition, particularly for pipeline products. Analytical Mastery: Assist in formulating analytic plans for studies and support data analyses that address key business questions across various sources, including writing analytics plans for retrospective & prospective studies. Value Capturing: Utilize insights from RWE studies and assist in dissemination of results to optimize product value and increase chances for reimbursement. Relationship Management: Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams about the strategic needs for real-world evidence in each therapeutic area and work jointly with the teams in designing and utilising relevant projects. Work with external partners such as registries, data vendors, and clinicians to design and execute on real-world studies. Health Economics and Pricing Responsibilities: Manage and lead the development of robust reimbursement and pricing strategies and coordinate the development of payer submissions for J&J NZ product portfolio, working closely with regional and global market access and pricing teams to ensure cohesive strategies that align with business objectives. Conduct reimbursement and pricing analyses to inform optimal reimbursement strategies for seeking listing of new products or new indications or maintaining access to reimbursed products through national tender processes in New Zealand. Engage with external customers, developing and maintaining good working relationships with reimbursement consultants, Pharmac, and clinicians/KOLs to ensure timely delivery of reimbursement and pricing deliverables. Qualifications Essential: Post-graduate degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, any Biomedical Science discipline, Public Health or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including a minimum of 2 years experience in health economics and/or pricing of pharmaceuticals. Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen to answer business questions, develop effective and robust pricing and reimbursement strategies founded on insights from various data sources and market access trends. Effective communication and negotiation skills: Demonstrable experience in successful communication of value strategies throughout the product lifecycle in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders through the support of evidence generation and the evaluation of pricing strategies to realize optimum value. Desirable: Proficiency in statistical analysis and experience with software such as STATA, R, or SAS. A background in health economics or economics. Experience in shaping the access environment in both short and long-term periods.
