Communications Advisor (AO5) Role
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Communications Advisor to join our team in the South Coast Region of Queensland. The successful candidate will provide strategic advice on community engagement, media relations, and stakeholder management.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement communication strategies for infrastructure projects.
* Prepare high-quality communication materials such as media releases, newsletters, ministerial briefings, and project collateral.
* Coordinate community and stakeholder engagement activities, including critical conversations with stakeholders.
* Plan and deliver key events, such as road commissioning, launches, and media opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Skilled experience in communication strategy, community engagement, and stakeholder management.
* A degree in communications, public relations, or marketing, with IAP2 certification or equivalent training.
* Knowledge of the infrastructure planning lifecycle and social media platforms.
Mandatory Requirements
* A current Class C driver's license and own vehicle.
* Ability to undergo a criminal history check.
* Possession of a White Card (or ability to obtain within six months).
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in major infrastructure projects and social media management.
