Operating in local communities across 10+ countries, this mainstay in Australian construction, this business is known for working closely with household-name brands. They're now looking for an energetic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in Geelong.
Your New Role
In this hands-on role, you'll oversee warehouse operations, including loading and unloading steel products onto trucks and operating roll-forming machines, ensuring on-time delivery to customers while prioritising safety. As a leader, your responsibilities will also include:
* Supervising the operation of roll-forming machines to ensure on-time delivery to customers
* Prioritising safety in all aspects of warehouse operations
* Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing team to meet and exceed customer needs
* Focusing on continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness in operations
* Managing a team of approximately 20 employees across day and afternoon shifts
* Supporting both day and afternoon shift teams in overlapping arrangements
* Oversee the end-to-end process across both shifts
What You'll Need to Succeed
This role is suited to an experienced candidate with a minimum of 3 years' experience working within a team of 15-20 staff. You'll need to be a collaborative team player with a safety-first mindset at all times. Additionally, you'll need:
* Experience working within operations, warehousing, or logistics environment with exposure to process manufacturing.
* Experience and qualifications in Six Sigma methodologies, with a focus on achieving manufacturing excellence, will be advantageous.
* A strong customer focus and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* An ability to translate business objectives into clear actions and outcomes for your team.
* An ability to influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people's demands.
* Leadership and guidance ensures your team follows manufacturing excellence targets.
