A bit about the role As a Road Safety Officer with Wyndham City Council, you will provide effective and efficient education and enforcement of legislation relating to parking and road safety. You will also engage with the community to promote community safety as it relates to parking and road safety, including responding to customer requests regarding illegal parking. What you will do Provide guidance, advice, and assistance to drivers in relation to parking compliance matters. Take appropriate enforcement action where contraventions of parking legislation are identified. Respond promptly to customer requests relating to illegal parking. Patrol and supervise school crossings as rostered or required. Present evidence in the Magistrates Court as required. Accurately record correspondence, notes, and evidence in Council's systems. What you will bring Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain. Previous experience in a parking compliance or regulatory role (Desirable). Demonstrated experience in a dynamic, customer-focused role. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and general IT proficiency, including an electronic infringement issuing device. The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation. Excellent time management and communication skills. Current Victorian Driver's License.
