The Opportunity
The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of delicious, nutritious, and safe meals in our Bangalow Residential Aged Care Facility and ensures the appropriate coordination of the kitchen on a day to day basis, maintaining appropriate food safety practices.
This position supports the Head Chef to develop and plan for appropriate menus aligned to the resident dietary and cultural needs, wants and preferences and in accordance with relevant legislation and standards.

About the Role:
* Prepare and cook high quality meals, aligned to resident dietary needs and preferences according to planned menus.
* Provide vital services to assist residents to receive an excellent dining experience that is safe and comfortable.
* Coordinate daily duties that support the effective operation of the kitchen and meal service cleaning and audits.
* Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and in a manner that upholds identity, culture, and diversity of the individual.
* Foster a safe home-like environment and assist in maintaining the standard of the resident living environment.
About You:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Safe Food Handling for Food Handlers (or working towards)
* Covid Vaccinations (encouraged)
* Basic computer skills including using digital devices and software applications.
* Previous experience in Aged and Community Care or a similar industry is preferred.
