Essential Criteria: Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Selection Criteria : Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) as a Registered Midwife (Division 1). Demonstrated extensive experience and clinical skill as a registered midwife. Commitment to developing advanced clinical skills and maintaining ongoing mandatory training requirements. Availability to work flexible hours with availability to be on call. Demonstrated understanding of the broader multicultural Health issues including demonstrated understanding of the unique medical, physical, social and emotional issues in the Auburn Community. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuity of carer/primary health care models of midwifery care in addition to an explicit understanding of strengths-based philosophy. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team with demonstrated effective teamwork and communication skills and demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
