The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Electrician is a skilled role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within solar farm installations. Reporting to the O&M Supervisor, this position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of solar facilities while adhering to electrical standards and regulations.Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine electrical maintenance on solar panels, inverters, transformers, and related equipment.Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical components to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.Diagnose and address electrical faults, short circuits, and other technical issues in solar systems.Repair or replace faulty components to restore system functionality.Adhere to electrical safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards during maintenance activities.Respond to electrical emergencies, outages, and incidents.Collaborate with the O&M team to implement prompt and effective solutions.Collect data on system performance, energy output, and electrical parameters.Analyze data to assess equipment health and recommend maintenance actions.Prepare records on maintenance activities, including findings, actions taken, and recommendations.Coordinate with other O&M team members, engineers, and contractors to optimize maintenance efforts.Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.Identify opportunities to enhance electrical system performance and efficiency.Provide input for system upgrades and improvements.Qualifications & Experience Trade certification in electrical work is required.1+ years of experience as an electrician, preferably in the renewable energy or electrical industry.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Previous experience in solar farm operations and maintenance.Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment.Expertise in electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting practices.Strong problem-solving abilities in diagnosing electrical faults.Attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities.Adaptability to changing conditions and willingness to work outdoors.Effective communication and collaboration within a team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
