We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Food and Beverage Host & Marketing Coordinator.
About the Role
As an energizing and confident Food and Beverage Host & Marketing Coordinator, you will take charge of hosting our Hibiscus Bar & Terrace, managing reservations, enquiries and ensuring service excellence. You will actively participate in marketing meetings for Food and Beverage, to assist in generating creative activations, promotions and digital signage to generate revenue. This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your professional hospitality career within an international company.
Some of the responsibilities include:
1. Work as the Host in Hibiscus Bar & Terrace as required for events, specifically Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday afternoons/evenings
2. Be the key champion and contact for assisting with securing, converting and managing all F&B Restaurant & Bar bookings under 20 guests
3. Handle all guest and internal customers and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily, raising issues to leaders immediately for quick turnaround
4. Manage the booking process for all FIT special event F&B dates including but not limited to Easter, Christmas, Melbourne Cup, Valentine’s Day, Mothers/Father’s Day and Brunch events.
5. Assist the Food and Beverage Management team to plan and coordinator promotions
6. Management of Table Check – updating reservations and responding to enquiries
7. Ensure all social events are set up and relevant colleagues are briefed prior to guest arrival
8. Provide HACCP administration support to Food and Beverage leadership (including Executive Chef)
9. Supported by Sales & Events Executives; working to create and organise all F&B collateral as required including but not limited to menus, signage, food labels, and dietary requirements
10. Ensure opening and closing checklists are followed for set up and pack down of the Terrace
Role requirements:
11. Previous experience providing excellent service across any industry (eg, retail, administration, or food and beverage)
12. Ability to work outside of traditional business hours in line with hotel operations
13. High level of grooming and personal presentation
14. Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration
15. Proven initiative and resourcefulness
16. High level of both written and verbal communication
17. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, specifically Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoon/evenings
18. Unrestricted working rights in Australia
