Role Details
The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is seeking a Corporate Facilities Officer to ensure propertiesare maintained as a safe and appropriate environment for childrenand young people, their carers and staff.
The role is responsible for:
1. Providing a range of property and accommodation support and services for DCP hubs, properties, facilities and assets, including procurement, maintenance and repairs
2. Coordinating, improving and supporting the delivery of Assets and Facilities processes and programs
3. Maintaining effective relationships with key DCP staff and stakeholders, including property managers, Real Estate Agents, contractors and key government stakeholders in relation to resolving complex property issues
4. Preparing high quality project and program documentation, including evaluating and reporting of contracts and service providers performance against agreed KPI’s.
About You
To be successful in this role, you need to be a confidentindividual who has demonstrated knowledge in property managementfunctions and an understanding of Masterpiece, Basware and Treasuryand Audit financial requirements. Your strong interpersonal skillsand ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingto a wide range of stakeholders will be a key requirement for thisrole.
The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating anddelivering facility or accommodation projects and programs andknowledge of accommodation and facilities management concepts andtechniques, relevant statutory guidelines, Codes and Regulations.
If you can think innovatively, take initiative to resolvecomplex problems and be able to liaise, influence and negotiatewith a broad range of people and handle conflict with tact anddiplomacy whilst working under limited direction, then this may bethe role for you!

Assets and Facilities
The Assets and Facilities team is responsible for the provisionof appropriate accommodation for service delivery and corporatelines of business.
As part of these functions, the Assets and Facilities groupworks collectively with other departments along with DCP’sspecialist lines of business, to action any property related matterthat may range from simple maintenance requests through to complexfacilities planning and reconfigurations operations.
The Assets and Facilities team is the central point of contactfor any accommodation or property related matter for the Departmentof Child Protection.
