Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist
The Department of Justice is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessment, treatment, physical welfare and medical care for patients within WA correctional facilities.
Provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, physical welfare and medical care for allocated patients within WA correctional facilities
Support the operational management, development and delivery of integrated best practice prison mental health services
Provide clinical expertise to the Director Health Services, Director Medical Services and the Clinical Governance Advisory Committee (CGAC) on matters related to mental health services
Recommend evidence-based improvements, clinical standards and consider best practice to achieve improved mental health outcomes and efficiencies as appropriate
Provide high-level clinical and strategic leadership to prison mental health services, maintaining an expert awareness of industry research, trends, issues and developments in relation to mental health
Requirements-
Current Medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Consultant Psychiatrist
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
