We are seeking a candidate for the position of Project Procurement Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Dandenong.
In this role, you will report to the Rolling Stock Procurement Manager and collaborate with the project team to oversee outsourced work packages, ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading cost improvement and optimization initiatives for the Next Generation Tram Melbourne project located in Dandenong, Victoria.
Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:
1. Lead and deliver overall Sourcing activities for the project, including make or buy strategy, decisions and recommendations
2. Work with Alstom Global Commodity Managers to ensure project Sourcing execution is in lie with Alstom strategy
3. Work with Project and Engineering Managers to align the scope of contract against requirements
4. Review periodically the QCD material scope (Work packages) with the stakeholders, establish a robust “at completion” vision, taken into account risks, ambitions and uncertainties
5. Manage supplier selection through Business Award process
6. Deliver all reporting requirements under assigned work packages.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:
7. Degree in Business or Engineering or demonstrable experience with purchasing or supply chain management
8. Previous experience with Purchasing and Supply Chain practices in a project environment (preferably Engineering, construction, defence or similar).
9. Experience analysing and negotiating terms and conditions for subcontracts.
10. Strong communication skills with ability to liaise with all level an organisation local and internationally.
