We are seeking two Electrical Supervisors to join our project: Goorambat East Solar Farm. Located approximately 12 kilometers north of Benalla and just south of the Goorambat township in Victoria, this 319 Megawatt (MWp) solar farm aims to deliver affordable, reliable, and clean energy to Victorian homes and businesses.
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing electrical operations on-site, ensuring that safety, quality, and compliance standards are met. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and visitors to ensure the safe and effective delivery of electrical works.
Key Responsibilities: Continuously identify and assess high-risk activities or hazards on the project, implementing control measures to eliminate or minimize these risks Ensure the effective implementation of the M&E Project team's design Ensure the safety of all personnel working under their supervision Manage the cost-effective deployment and close supervision of all resources under their responsibility Oversee the daily management and deployment of allocated plant and equipment Liaise with the Logistics team to ensure accuracy and coordinate the timely delivery of all required materials and equipment Coordinate the resolution of issues related to design, materials, or management systems for the assigned discipline activities Assist in planning, monitoring, and completing work packs Ensure that the work is carried out and inspected as per specified requirements, the construction program, and within the budget. Resolve day-to-day on-site construction coordination issues with the site teams. Manage the preparation, issuance, and review of all construction and safety-related documentation, ensuring it is in place before work begins Ensure the implementation and adherence to management systems and plans, including quality, environmental, and safety protocols Review performance to identify any inefficiencies or inconsistencies Coordinate with Superintendents/Engineers to ensure milestones are met Manage subcontractors regarding claims, variations, and further contractual obligations Qualifications and Experience: Trade-based background in mechanical or electrical construction or equivalent 5 years' experience in supervision and management of construction labour with a focus on high-quality delivery on large construction projects Strong oral and written communication skills Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with people at different levels both internally and externally Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Access, and email Please note that this position is located on-site and FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) is not available.
