We have a new Senior Technical Business Analyst role available in our Health Insurance - Business Transformation & Data Team, reporting to the BI Operations, Governance & Quality Manager.
The opportunity: In this role, you'll be contributing to the realisation of value for our Health Insurance (HI) business from our data programs and data initiatives.
We need someone that's collaborative, value driven and who deeply understands the complex technical environments and toolsets available required to achieve outcomes with data, working in complex, ambiguous and challenging situations while engaging with senior leaders.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to: Have a minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Technical Business Analyst.
Have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with SQL, SAS and/or Data Bricks – and be able to examine code.
Be well versed in Data Governance / Platform Data Analysis.
This is a permanent role and can be based in Sydney, or Melbourne.
We offer hybrid work arrangements, so you'll have the flexibility to work from one of our offices in these locations or work from home.
How will I help?
You will add value by: Implementing a structured methodology to capture scope and requirements, incl.
business process, information flow, user experience, etc., and to ensure quality of work and sign-off by stakeholders.
Engaging in business analysis activities for complex initiatives, typically in the forming stage, to influence and shape the solution roadmap by providing must-have, should-have, could have requirements and working with the solution architect to provide solution options and trade-off analysis.
Engaging in complex data analysis to support business rules, business requirements and testing outcomes.
Ensuring the use of SQL, Data Bricks and SAS is consistent across the team and drives quality outcomes and results.
Coaching and supporting teams and individuals to effectively utilise their specialised skills (i.e., business analysts to communicate ideas to improve customer and employee experiences and business process) to deliver results in cross-functional teaming environments.
