Workplace COVID-19 Tester Job Ref: 1159512 Location: Albury, NSW Salary: $33 to $50.00 per hour + super. Dependent on qualification. We require casual health professionals registered with AHPRA to carry out workplace surveillance COVID-19 testing across various locations Albury, NSW. We also require suitably qualified and experienced non AHPRA registered assistance (AIN). Comprehensive training will be provided on procedure, protocols and the software system. Commencing January 27th 2022 Please quote job reference: 1159512 A little about the role: As a Registered health professional, you will use your empathetic, caring and community focused nature to support each workplace/site to conduct daily surveillance COVID-19 testing on their workforce. You will be able to work efficiently, autonomously and collaboratively. Your team will vary from location to location so you may be the sole health professional or part of a larger team. Non AHPRA registered staff may assist under your direction. AHPRA registered health professions that can work as a workplace Covid-19 tester are as follows:
1. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practice
2. Dental (not including dental therapist, dental hygienist, dental prosthetist or oral health therapist)
3. Medical
4. Medical radiation practice
5. Nursing – Registered Nurse (RN), Enrolled nurse (EN) or Enrolled Endorsed Nurse (EEN)
6. Midwifery
7. Occupational therapy
8. Optometry
9. Pharmacy
10. Physiotherapy
11. Podiatry
12. Psychology
We also require non AHPRA registered assistants that are qualified:
13. Assistance in Nursing (AIN’s)
14. Generally, you need to have experience in the Correct use of PPE and infection control, with relevant certificates
Duties you will be responsible for:
15. Performing tests by taking nose and throat specimen samples on workers
16. Handle testing equipment
17. Entering data and coordinating test results by using state of the art software
18. Work as a part of the team with fellow nurses
19. Follow infection control protocols and carry out hand hygiene after each employee
Essential Criteria:
20. Competent in doffing and donning PPE
21. Registered with AHPRA
22. Certificates in infection control, hand hygiene
23. Current CPR certificate
24. Proof of current immunization, including current year flu vaccination
25. National Police check (Conducted within 12 months)
26. Proof of Working Rights for Australia
27. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
