ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Lodge Manager, you will take on a hands-on leadership role, overseeing all aspects of the operation to ensure an exceptional guest experience. You'll lead a dynamic and dedicated team, inspiring them to deliver outstanding service with a strong focus on collaboration and efficiency. Your involvement will go beyond management tasks; you will not be afraid to get your hands dirty, sometimes stepping in to assist with housekeeping or food and beverage service, all while fostering an environment where creativity thrives and a shared passion for hospitality motivates every team member.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Oversee daily operations of the property with a proactive approach, ensuring seamless collaboration between front of house, housekeeping, restaurant, and maintenance teams.
* Implement company policies and procedures to streamline operational efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
* Monitor budgets and track expenses to help achieve the business’s financial objectives while maintaining control.
* Train and develop a cohesive team with effective communication, providing regular and constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
* Conduct food and beverage stock takes.
* Assist in housekeeping, food and beverage service, and guest transfers as needed.
* Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations, prioritising safety and well-being in all operational aspects.
* Monitor guest satisfaction through the Net Promoter Score, proactively addressing any concerns to create a memorable experience.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, contributing to a supportive community.
* Prepare and share monthly reports and updates to provide insights into operational performance and highlight strategic initiatives.
This is a remote position, and you will be required to live and work at one of our properties for the entire season. We provide all meals and accommodation. Please be aware of the unique challenges and limitations associated with long-term remote living.
ABOUT YOU:
The perfect candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills, with proven experience as a manager working remotely. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively leading diverse teams while staying attuned to industry trends and best practices. As Barramundi Lodge is a world-renowned fishing lodge, a keen interest in fishing would be advantageous, allowing you to connect with our guests and enhance their experience.
Requirements:
* You have a true appreciation for nature and believe in sustainability and looking after your environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in resort management.
* Previous experience in delivering high-end food and beverage services.
* Possess a valid Western Australia Approved Manager's License.
* Hold a valid Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation
* Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and resort management software.
* You have a hands-on management style, demonstrating that no task is too small and actively participating in all aspects of operations.
