Foster a positive and collaborative workplace, promoting professional communication and a flexible, solutions-focused approach as we continue to expand our initiatives in the region•Develop and implement a strategic plan to maximise animal impact, aligning with the RSPCA’s objectives.•Oversee the Kingaroy Animal Care Shelter, including staff, inventory, and maintenance, ensuring smooth operations.•Ensure the RSPCA Five Domains are central to all shelter operations, maintaining high animal welfare standards.•Coordinate community outreach programs, fundraising events, educational visits, corporate events, and supporter days in the region.•Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including contractual agreements.•Maintain accurate records of animal intake, adoptions, and staff activities, preparing reports for senior management and analysing trends to improve operations.•Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including RSPCA, volunteers, and external partners, to ensure positive outcomes for animals.•Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and compliance to WHS for staff and volunteers, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.•Drive adoption, fostering, and revenue-generating services like pet training, merchandise sales, and additional services to enhance resources.About youYou'll be a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may also include:•A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or a related field is preferred.•Driver’s licence is mandatory.•Leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team of staff and volunteers.•Familiarity with animal welfare laws and regulations.•Training in crisis intervention and emergency response.•Excellent organisational and administrative skills.•Animal care knowledge and understanding of animal behaviour, health, and welfare.•Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff, volunteers, and the public.•Problem-solving skills to handle crises and make quick decisions under pressure.•Strong customer service skills for dealing with the public and resolving issues.We are open to candidates who may not have industry experience but may have a transferable skill set. This role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Kingaroy Animal Care Centre.
